Our Vision
We are living one of the most exciting times of our lives and ministry. We are dedicated to building the house of God in Spain. Building the house is a term that describes our desire to see the local church grow into a powerful and magnificent place of worship for our God. As we build the house, the cause of Christ goes forward.

Our vision is to encounter the lost with the love of God, establish the message of grace and favor, equip people to carry out the cause of Christ and empower the local church to change the world.

Summer Baptisms '09 Having baptisms on the beach is always fun. It is a way to give witness of what we believe and who we are to the curious by-stander. However, this year was even more exciting.

This particular Sunday was cloudy and overcast. As soon as the last person to be baptized came out of the water, the heavens could not contain what became a downpour. Our usual all day celebration at the beach was turned into a joyful but, quick retreat. We will have to pick up where we left off...next year.

It's About People, Purpose and Position

It's been a while since I last updated our blog. We are doing great! We are enjoying the times we are living in.
God is continually renewing our love for people. God's heart is for people.
God deposits purpose for people to carry out their position in Christ. When I understand my position of favor before the Father, then I will understand there is a purpose placed upon my life that goes beyond my own imagination. I no longer work towards accomplishing a position of forgiveness, so that I can impart the salvation message to others. I live under God's grace and favor. I know I am forgiven, and I know God loves me. Therefore, I can carry out a message of hope to those who are around me.
We pray that God would use us along with others to carry out this amazing and awesome message. We believe our Father loves us, and Jesus redeemed us. Valencia Spain, is beeing reached with this love.

The Cheerful Giver

“⁷ You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘…For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’”1 Co 9:7 NLT

God loves those who give cheerfully. God’s own way of giving is that of great joy. He is the most cheerful of all givers. He is a God who gives and He delights in those who give in the way He does—cheerfully. It is not that God loves those who give much over those who give little, but He loves those who decide to give with cheer.

During this holiday season, I am reminded of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. As I think of the greatest gift I have received, I cannot help but look to the greatest giver. It was not out of reluctance or in response to a pressure that God gave to us. It was with great joy and cheer that God sent His only Son to save the world. It is the manner in which God loves us that determind His gift for us. He loves us with perfect love, therefore He gave us the perfect one, Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to receive the greatest gift from the greatest giver, and with much cheer—give it to someone else.

A summer of change

We hope you are enjoying your summer. Whether you are attending barbecues, softball games, family reunions or weddings, this summer can be one that will change your life. We pray that God continue to bless you. May you continue to fulfill your purpose in Christ.

We are finding ways to challenge the youth this summer by getting them out of there normal routines and enjoy life. Our cell meetings are being held at the beach, local restaurants and parks. They continue to grow in their walk. We enjoy working with them.

National Youth Rally 2008 in Madrid

This past Saturday, June 28th, our youth group attended a national youth rally in the capital of Spain, Madrid. Artists, music bands, national youth leaders and international speakers all shared in what was one of the largest gatherings of Christian youth in Spain's history. For 12 hours straight, over five thousand youth praised the name of Jesus in the nation's capital.

The event was highly evangelistical. The youth were given a strategy and were challenged to take the streets. As a result, over one thousand people were presented the gosple in the surrounding area, and six hundred accepted Christ as their savior.

This is a great victory for the kingdom of God. Our youth are fired up and ready to continue to impact Spain for Christ. This is a special time for Spain. It is a prophetic time where Spain will be conquered by Christ.

I am posting a video clip from the rally. For those who do not understand spanish, in the chorus they are singing "Spain beloved of God, Spain beloved of God." We believe that Spain is loved by God and belongs to Jesus Christ.

"Reaching Beyond the Limits" Women's Conference

Last month Mary was invited to speak at a women's conference in Veracruz, Mexico. The women’s conference was a major success for the city. “Mujeres Sin Limites,” as it was called in Spanish was an event that broke all religious perspectives. They did not want to hold "just another Christian event." It was planned using a kingdom perspective in order to reach a city full of women in need, who did not know Christ as their savior.

In order to reach that specific target, they had to reach beyond the typical. They presented themselves as an organization that helped women be successful in their society, reaching beyond their limitations. There were no Bibles, no worship leaders, no “amens” or “hallelujahs”. It was completely focused to present the truth of God’s love in a simple message that all could understand.

They rented out a major venue. Real estate companies, jewelry stores, designer boutiques, health & beauty companies were just some of the event’s sponsors. The church rallied together, as well, to help with volunteers and with costs. The conference was a year in the making.

The outcome exceeded all expectations. Fifteen hundred women attended the conference, when it was predicted that half of that amount would attend. The conference was broadcasted on radio and published in the paper. Important and influential women attended the conference. Many heard the gospel message, as it was displayed in a creative way.

The event was a huge success. They continue to receive calls from women looking for direction. The church is growing as result of the event. Below are a few pictures of the women's conference. We hope you enjoy. Thank you for your continual support and prayer.

A WONDERFUL HOMECOMING

We have returned to Spain and are excited to be back. After having spent a season in Veracruz, Mexico; we are excited to continue our vision for Spain. Upon our return we have found that the work here is going better than ever.

YOUTH WITH A PASSION

In our absence, our co-workers formed a team to attend the youth group. They have done an excellent job. Several new youth have joined the group. The group is a mix of ages and cultures. In the group we find Gypsies, Spaniards, Colombians, Argentineans, Brazilians, Americans and Ecuadoreans. We want to be specific and strategic with how we continue our work.

MAKING THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY

Our time in Veracruz, Mexico was of great blessing for us and the church. In February we closed out our ministry time with a youth encounter. 150 young people attended. All were blessed by the Holy Spirit.

What once was a forgotten ministry is now alive and growing. The group loves God and is anxious to expand their vision. It was a great privilege to have formed part of what God is doing in Mexico.

Summer of Harvest

Dear Family, Friends and Intercessors,

We know it has been a while since we have last updated you on what is going on. However, we know how important it is for you to know what is going on, so that we can continue to receive prayer coverage. We will try to continue to improve on how we communicate with you.

Mary and I both received a word from God that this summer would be a spiritual harvest time. We are already seeing how God working amongst His church and he is bringing in the harvest.

A month ago, we took the youth group to Madrid to attend a national gathering Christian youth. It was wonderful to see over 5 thousand young people flood a central park in the nation’s capital. It was great for our youth to see what God is doing in Spain. It was a prophetic time of prayer, worship and all out celebration. The central theme being, it is all for you Jesus. We believe that Spain belongs to Jesus and He reigns. Everything we do and say, may it be for Him.

The last two weeks, we have had VBS for the kids. It has been good for them, as well as us. This year, our young people are the ones helping us. We have had several new kids show up, who do not come to church. We will have another VBS session later on in August.

We want to thank you for your support through prayer and financial gifts. You are an important part of what is taking place here. Evangelism, spiritual growth, discipleship and leadership training are what we seek to achieve as God continues to build His kingdom in Spain. Bless you and have a wonderful summer. Increase and Acceleration

Greetings!

We are thankful to God for allowing us to work in His church. There has been much increase in the months of March and April. We believe that this year is a year of increase and acceleration. We know that this is only the beginning.

We are having to look for a new building, because there is no room for more growth. We have maxed out the building to such a degree that it is impossible for more to come. Some end up leaving, because they get tired of standing. We are reaching close to 250 on Sundays, not counting close to 100 kids that come.

God is moving people into His presence and is saving entire families. This is also a challenge, because free standing buildings with large capacities are very expensive and hard to find. We may look for land or simply buy a storage building and remodel it. Pray that God would move with favor over us and that His will be done.

Last March, we had a marriage retreat. Many were blessed, challenged and encouraged. The results of this retreat has breathed new life into the church. We are seeing that healthy families produce a healthy church. Here are some pictures I took of our time during the retreat. I hope you like them.

We are doing well. We just arrived from a trip to Veracruz, Mexico. We were there four weeks. We needed to turn in some paper work for Mary and we were able to see family and minister in various churches.
We are excited to see how God is blessing His church in Mexico. We had the oportinity to share together at my father in-law's church, as well as with a youth group at another church. Also, Mary preached at a city-wide meeting held for pastor's wives. Many were blessed by the Holy Spirit.
I must admit that we enjoyed getting to see our family. My in-laws were overjoyed to see me, and I think the fact that I brought Sara with me had something to do it! We had a lot of fun with our family and friends. We thank God for the time we spent with them.
The youth and kids are glad that we are back and we are anxious to keep working. We are planning some events for this spring and summer. We want to thank you for your prayers and your support. May God bless you abundantly.

FANNING THE FLAME

This past December we held a youth retreat and the Holy Spirit was poured out over our youth in such a powerful way. Many who were discouraged were filled with the joy of the Lord. Youth who had come with other motives were captivated by the power of the Holy Spirit and their hearts were changed. Rebellious hearts were broken before the Lord. It is amazing what the Holy Spirit can do in an instant.

God showed Himself powerful to save. There is a change in our youth. Now is the time to continue to fan the flame. We never cease to be amazed at what God does for the love of His children.

RETURNING TO VALENCIA

We are back in Valencia!

We had a great trip to the U.S. We enjoyed our family as well as spending time with friends. We were able to make a trip to Oklahoma and Texas. We enjoyed strengthening existing relationships as well as making new ones. Over all, we had a successful trip and were greatly blessed.

We thank you for holding us in your prayers as we spent the last month away. We were glad to see that the ministry we left here continued to run on its own. Our desire is to see this ministry be self supporting, self propagating and self governing.

We have an upcoming youth retreat in less than two weeks. Our focus is that the youth learn to have a personal relationship with God. That being a Christian is not a religion, but a relationship. We pray that they manifest who they are in Christ, as sons and daughters of God.

A trip to the U.S.A.

Greetings Family, Friends and Prayer Partners!

It's been a while since I last updated. However, there has been a lot happening. Youth and Kids do keep one quite busy. We are enjoying what God's doing. Most of all, God continues to show us where to go and how to reach our goals.

The kid's cell groups continue to expand. We have had to refrain them from growing so fast, due to the lack of prepared workers. This is not a bad problem to have, however, we are excited to know that there is a group of kids that we are working with on a closer level. We are preparing them to take the charge. Thus, God's kingdom will continue to be established.

We will be visiting the U.S. for the month of November. We are very excited and thankful to God for the opportunity that we have to go. God has provided in a miraculous way for us to make the trip.

We are looking forward to spending time with my family, as well as, seeing friends and those who form part of our vision for Spain.

We ask that you continue to pray for the work in Spain. The spiritual strongholds continue to be exposed and brought down and that the Kingdom of Heaven be manifested in our midst. Thank you.

Pastor's Retreat in Denia

This past weekend we had a retreat for the pastors that form part of the church's leadership team. It was a time to relax and fellowship as well as pray and look at strategies. God moved tremendously. We were blessed by His presence. We enjoyed one another as well. I saw that it is necesary in a team to take time to enjoy each other. We took time to look at our goals and whether we are reaching them or not. I'm posting some pictures of our retreat. I hope you enjoy them.

Continue to pray for the youth network. God's moving in many of the hearts of the youth. In these past two weeks, six youth have come to Christ. We are praying that their lives would grow in Christ. As small babies, we are taking care of them so that they may continue their walk. Praise God!

Light in the Midst of Darkness

We are glad to announce that the children are shining as lights in the midst of darkness. They are believing God for increase and they are putting their faith to work. This past week six new kids attended cell groups throughout the children's network. Praise God!

This past month two new families have received Christ at the church. They are beginning their new walk with Christ. They have been coming to church and attending cells on a weekly basis.

Next month we will be hosting a Leader's Encounter. Our purpose is to continue to raise leaders and that they be whole leaders. A leader who does not know his own identity, who has not been healed from past hurts, who does not know what he's called to--presents a threat to the success of a healthy church body. Our purpose is to make sure that our leadership and those we raise as leaders be sure of who they are and who they serve.

We want to let you know that you form part of what God's doing in Spain. Thank you for your prayers, your gifts of support and your love for us and the ministry in Spain.

Summer Update

This past July we had a group from the US visit us. It was primarily a youth group with a youth and children's focus. They brought teaching and ministry to our church. It was an incredible time as God moved in a powerful manner. God spoke prophetically and many were strengthen and healed. Praise God!

God is igniting a new passion within the youth. We know that God is faithful and he watches over His word. Two weeks ago we opened cell groups among the children's network. We have a total of 4 cells. In two weeks, they have already grown, and are looking to multiply. The cell leaders, which are kids, are setting goals and are taking steps towards accomplishing those goals. Mary and I are watching over those 4 children's cells and we have three youth cells open, as of now.

This coming Fall we have several events planned. Pray with us that nothing would oppose what God's wants to do. We have made plans, but we want God to direct our steps.
